All of our homes need to be decorated in a manner which is pleasing to the eyes. People may start decorating from the outside so that many people will be able to see the external beauty. Some people may also have their homes decorated from the inside. Among the things that people neglect while decorating their homes is rug. They are not very popular in most houses because people do not know which types of rugs they can put on their floors. To give people an idea of the different types of available, here are the top three which can be used for your home. 1. Animal skin rugs. These are very popular in people with high standing in society. These rugs are not cheap because the government has regulated the importing and exporting of this product as well as their production. These rugs vary in shapes and sizes and they depend mostly on the type of animal used. The animals which can be used as rugs are the deer, bears, the lion, tiger, zebra, or any type of animal which has good skin and fur on them. These rugs have been used in ancient times to insulate their cold floors. Since the numbers of animals in the world have declined over the past years, the government has prohibited the killing of endangered animals for commercial use. Since people may not be able to get legal animal rugs anymore, there are several out there being sold which are synthetically made. These synthetic rungs cost cheaper and they last longer. 2. Wool Rugs. These rugs are made out of sheep wool. Every summer, farm sheep are being shaved off so that their wool can be sold to factories making wool rugs. The wool will be processed and cleaned so that they can be used for weaving the rug. They are very popular in Mediterranean cultures because people have expressed their artistry through the use of these rugs. You can find a lot of these rugs in departments stores and they do not cost that much. The cost of wool rugs mostly depends on the size. The great thing about these rugs is that they do not burn easily. In some cases, these rugs may even be used as a fire extinguisher. The mechanism is brought about by the way wool can hold itself closely together. 3. Textile Rugs. These rugs are more popularly known as carpets. These rugs use textile fabric in combination with a hard backing material. These rugs are the most commonly used in households and they come in different colours. Some people would prefer to install their floors with textile rugs in order to add insulation especially in cold winter days. This may not be such a good idea because the cleaning of the rug will be difficult. Frequent vacuuming and dirt prevention is the key to maintaining the look of these rugs. Some rugs may be sold with a plain colour, but there are actually a lot of rugs being sold with colourful designs resembling the earlier art form of the Persian rugs.
